Beyond concierge services, XPACS is a leading consultant to many Fortune 1000 companies and successfully implements workplace wellness programs which increase revenues, improve employee morale, reduce absenteeism, and help control presenteeism (when employees come to work even though they are ill and pose problems of contagion and lower productivity). We have created a proprietary program called X-Trac, which utilizes different metrics to determine the causes of absenteeism, the types of absence control programs currently being used, and how to improve employee morale, which drastically impacts your organization’s bottom-line.
Often times it is not so much about having numerous workplace wellness programs in place at your company, but rather establishing the right programs that relate to your employees’ lifestyles and needs.
X-Trac was created from years of research, interviews, and analysis of over fifty (50) HR expert resources.
Excerpt from an anonymous company’s X-Trac report:
Company profile:
A software company headquartered in Orange County which specializes in creating business development and software applications for publicly held companies to small entrepreneurs.
Number of Employees: approximately 750 (400 at headquarters)
| Monthly Amount Lost Due to Absenteeism | |
|---|---|
| Number of Employees in the Company/Department | 750 |
| Average Montly Salary per Person (or expected pay) | $3,456 |
| Benefits | $1,002 |
| Percentage rate for all other costs incidental to absenteeism | 1.15 |
| Total Monthly Compensation | $4,458 |
| Average Number of Workdays Missed in the Month | 2 |
| Average Cost of Absenteeism per Day | $1,538 |
| Annual Cost of Absenteeism per Employee | $513 |
| Total Cost of Absenteeism Annually | $334,368 |

Problem:
X-Trac determined that while the company’s turnover rate was significantly less then the industry average, they were losing a significant amount of money due to unscheduled absences due to employees finding it difficult to manage weekly personal responsibilities. In particular, the sales force (represents about 25% of the company) believed there was not enough assistance from the company for them when they were traveling on the road. One salesperson said, “I spend more time trying to find certain restaurants, locations of companies and hotels, when I could be getting more sales done”. Employee morale overall was rated as fair to good.
Solution:
Here are a few of the solutions XPACS implemented:
- 9/80 work weeks
- Concierge service for the employees
- Paid Leave Bank absence control program
- XPACS/Purell program
- Buy back program
Result:
The Company reduced absenteeism by 25%; sales reps were closing more business deals; a reassessment after our implementation of the programs indicated that employee morale increased; and revenues increased by 15% by the end of the year. Additionally, the X-Trac program saved the company an estimated $900K per year.
